BIOGRAFIA

Nato e cresciuto a New York, John aveva un'affinità per l'arte sin da bambino e ha esplorato una varietà di tecniche, come la pittura, la calligrafia, il disegno, la scultura e la ceramica. Quando all'università è stato introdotto alla tecnica del airbrush , è rimasto affascinato dalla natura eterea che questa poteva portare alla sua creatività e ai suoi quadri. Si è concentrato sui paesaggi del cielo per catturare la natura delle nuvole, che viste in forma fisica appaiono potenti, ma allo stesso tempo pesano un nulla e sono quasi trasparenti. Ha creato una serie di tele, tra le quali ci sono scene di albe, cieli notturni e tanto altro. Ha esposto i suoi lavori a Brooklyn, New York e Kansas City, Missouri. La sua attenzione creativa si è espansa oltre le arti visive negli anni '90, quando ha studiato recitazione ed è diventato regista teatrale. Come attore è stato su parecchi palchi teatrali a New York, così come anche nei film. Ha poi scoperto una passione per la regia di produzioni teatrali, dirigendo oltre quaranta spettacoli a New York e in Pennsylvania.

John con sua moglie Luisa si è trasferito dagli Stati Uniti in Italia nel 2015, scegliendo Torino come sede per le loro nuove attività creative.

Biography

Born and raised in New York City, John had an affinity for art as a child and he explored a variety of techniques, such as painting, calligraphy, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. When in university he was introduced to the airbrush, he was captivated by the ethereal nature it could bring to his creativity and artwork. He focused on skyscapes to capture the nature of clouds, somehow powerful in a physical view yet almost transparent in their weight. He created a number of canvases, including scenes of sunrises, nighttime skies and more. He has had his work exhibited in Brooklyn, New York and Kansas City, Missouri. His creative focus expanded beyond the visual arts in the 1990s as he studied acting and became a theatre director. He has acted on stage in New York as well as in films, and also developed a gift for directing theatre productions, directing over forty plays in New York and in Pennsylvania.

 

John with his wife Luisa relocated from the United States to Italy in 2015, choosing Torino as home for their new creative pursuits.
